Newcraft expands into Belgian market

Over the past years the demand for digital acceleration in the Belgian market has grown. With clients like Delhaize, D’Ieteren, bol.com, GrandOptical, Maxeda and Jacobs Douwe Egberts, Newcraft has been active in the Belgian market for a while, which made the decision to expand to Belgium with a local team and office a logical next step.

Retailers, FMCG brands, wholesalers and many other industries are affected by the rapidly changing behavior of consumers. Newcraft has been working with (multinational) companies like Ahold Delhaize, Pon, Aegon, Moet Hennessy, Nutricia, Rijksmuseum, and Leaseplan in the Netherlands for years to help them understand this behavior and create new, digital opportunities for growth. The Dutch company will leverage its experience in business strategy, digital marketing, e-commerce, creativity, data science and capability development to help Belgian organizations with their digital acceleration.

Digital accelerators
The new branch will be led by Roel Weets, who has extensive digital experience in the Belgian market. Roel: “I am very excited to introduce Newcraft in Belgium. We have a unique proposition with such a wide variation of digital expertise under one roof. Instead of focusing on one area, we look at the entire organization and identify how digital can accelerate sustainable growth. Whether it’s re-assessing your business model or developing, executing your e-commerce strategy or implementing a data solution, we tackle every challenge in the same way. Not with an immense Powerpoint slide deck, but with a pragmatic plan and execution. We do this in close cooperation with our clients and transfer our capabilities through coaching and on the job training. This way our know-how becomes embedded at the client.”

Martijn Haanappel, founder of Newcraft: “The Belgian market is developing fast which makes it a very interesting playing field for us. The impact of the Coronavirus forced many companies to quickly move their focus from offline to online. Now they need help to embed this digital growth in their organization for the long-term. A cool project we’re currently working on is at bol.com, where we’re helping sellers to accelerate their marketplace performance in an extremely competitive market.”
