Omnichannel growth of a Dutch icon

One of the best recognized brands in the Netherlands.

HEMA is a Dutch variety store-chain with over 500 stores in 9 countries and a large online presence. It’s actually one of the best recognized brands in its home country the Netherlands. Since 2021 Newcraft has been supporting HEMA in defining and supporting their new omni-channel strategy.

Commercial analysis

We started by conducting a thorough ‘where to play’ analysis with which an in-depth product category analysis (for both stores as digital performance) was carried out. We analyzed product availability in stores, defined digital growth opportunities and simultaneously supported the leadership team in strategy development.

 

Building on data insights, we were asked to improve HEMA’s relevance to its customers by implementing a new and integrated CRM and loyalty strategy.

Organic visibility

On a tactical level, our daughter company OAK created organic growth by boosting visibility in search engines like Google.
