Financial accountant

Excellent financial skills

This summer, Newcraft joined Wunderman Thompson, part of WPP. The additional role of Financial accountant in our Finance and Operations team will have the primary responsibility to provide support to the Finance Manager on all accounting matters for statutory and fiscal reporting, and overseeing local compliance and controls that comes along with being a part of a listed company. 

 

The role requires excellent financial and accounting skills, experience in dealing with regulatory bodies and preferably knowledge of/ experience with SOX.

This role is for 32-40 hours per week and the start date will be asap in consultation with you.

 

You’ll be responsible for providing the right support to Business Partners and other business stakeholders, by ensuring they obtain the necessary information and analysis to enable decision-making with full understanding of the financial impact.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Know and apply financial and administrative procedures, policies and processes across the organization.
  • Posting of incoming purchase invoices
  • Invoicing 
  • Monitoring accounts payables and accounts receivables
  • Prepare statements to report to the EMEA region
  • Collaborate in interactions with auditors and oversee audit compliance activities and statutory accounts sign-off
  • Prepare posting of period-end accruals and adjustments and ensure compliance with policy and accepted accounting standards 
  • Prepare production of financial information and analysis to enable business stakeholders working with their Finance Business Partners to make decisions with full understanding of the financial impacts they will have
  • Prepare production of routine and ad hoc analysis and reports, that highlights significant variances and areas for further attention and analysis for example revenue, net sales, order-book, pipeline and utilization

As a Financial accountant you’ll join the ambitious and driven Operations team. The team makes sure everything runs smoothly at Newcraft Group; HR, finance, recruitment, marketing & communications, learning & development and office management. Qualifications

  • At least five years of experience in the areas of finance, accounting and reporting for international companies
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in financial education
  • Good relationship skills
  • Willingness and ability to learn new tasks
  • Flexibility to work extra time if needed, especially during Reporting days
  • Not necessary, but experience with SOX is a plus
